Charles and Cheryl Adams grow mixed vegetables, herbs, fruits, chickens, and rabbits on 2 acres in north Macon County. They use organic production methods and have their entire growing area mulched in hay or wood shavings. They are firm believers in keeping their soil covered to preserve moisture, build organic matter, and control weeds. Their soil is alive with earthworms and other soil critters.
